Security (penetration) tests
Penetration tests are targeted and controlled assessments of IT system security conducted through simulated real-world attacks. Their primary goal is not to eliminate vulnerabilities directly, but to identify weak points in both technical and organizational security measures, and to provide an objective view of the current state of cyber resilience.
The testing includes both technical aspects (e.g., analysis of open ports, detection of outdated software versions, weak configurations) and social engineering — simulated attacks focused on the human factor, such as attempts to obtain access credentials by manipulating employees.
Penetration tests can be carried out from the perspective of an external attacker (outside the organization) or an internal actor (within the organization), depending on the environment and the client’s specific requirements.
The result is a comprehensive report that clearly describes the identified vulnerabilities, their severity, potential risks, and recommendations for remediation.
This report can be used as a basis for:
updating security measures,
risk analysis,
planning investments in cybersecurity,
or as part of documentation for compliance with security standards or legal requirements (e.g., IEC 62443, NIS 2, ISO/IEC 27001).
