Security (penetration) tests
The purpose of a penetration test is not to resolve security issues but, in a way, to audit and assess the standard of security and prepare a summary report on the quality of both technical measures (setting of open ports, system versions) and organisational measures (fraud and social engineering through employees). Penetration tests simulate possible attacks on a system from both outside and within, with the goal of providing the client with a comprehensive overview of the security of their infrastructure and application environment. This can then be used as e.g. an input for risk analysis.
